Ever since I found out that I am pregnant, I tried to avoid using fragrances cause I can't be sure what's in it. But thanks to Maison21G, I could fully customise my own perfume that is php free and pregnancy safe as they are made of essential oils!
I had a chat with their co-founder, Johanna, whom is a mother of 3 and she was able to easily recommend me blends that were safe for mummies! I am a fan of essential oils but never knew that there's a company in Singapore that uses it to curate customised perfumes! Even with scent restrictions because I'm pregnant e.g. avoid lavender and clary sage as they may induce labour, Johanna was able to suggest a blend of Musk with Neroli Nude based on my preference for fragrance and also because to her, it's the closest to a baby's scent! Since the blend is clean, light and fresh, I designed the bottle with an illustration of my maternity photoshoot dress to keep as a keepsake for my first pregnancy!
As the perfumes at Maison21G are fully customised, Johanna also made a special formula for me with only natural ingredients, non-allergens components and based on a higher level of water and less alcohol! All of Maison21G perfumes are freshly blended, without a need to use any preservative unlike commercial brands plus they are cruelty free, vegan and are more than 90% biodegradable. So it is great purchase or a gift for everyone, even those with sensitive skin, and not just mummies!
Creating your own fragrance is a fun and relaxing activity that can be done alone or with your loved ones, especially for events like birthdays or hen's party! As Maison21G has physical stores in Duxton Road and ION Orchard, you can make a reservation for a workshop with professional guidance, prices from $120 per pax. Alternatively, you can also create your own scent with a customised bottle online at www.maison21g.com at $80. For those who are interested, you can use promo code "M21Gkatelyntanhuiping10" to enjoy a 10% discount off your purchase.
Happy playing with the scents!
